The operation was officially completed on July 7, 2025, after meeting all the established conditions in the process. Alicorp, the Peruvian multinational and majority shareholder of Agrícola del Chira, reported the acquisition to the Superintendency of the Securities Market (SMV) through a Significant Event. This operation represents a strategic step in consolidating Ingenio Magdalena's presence in the agricultural and energy sector of the region, reaffirming its leadership as one of the main sugar complexes in Central America. The purchase of 80% of Agrícola del Chira had been initially announced on April 9, 2025, when both parties signed the purchase and sale contract.
