The Gyeongbuk Province held a Seed Committee meeting to discuss the distribution of new, high-performing varieties of peaches, omija, chrysanthemums, and soybeans to farmers. The committee decided to transfer the variety protection rights for these new varieties, including 'Chambaek', a peach variety for export, 'Saebam', a high-yielding black bean, and 'Somered', an omija variety that yields 1.5 times more than the existing variety. The decision aims to adjust the sales price, expand the supply of these varieties, and leading the domestic market, with plans to distribute these excellent varieties to farmers, promote special field zones, and expand exports.
