Gyeongnam Province Responds Swiftly and Comprehensively to Jellyfish Outbreak

Gyeongnam Province announced that it has conducted on-site inspections and urgently supported an additional 30 million won in jellyfish purchase project funds due to the continued massive jellyfish appearance in its maritime areas. On the 18th, Gyeongnam Province visited the fixed net fishing grounds in the Dupo maritime area of Goseong-gun's Samsan-myeon to check the jellyfish occurrence situation and response status. At the site, they listened to fishermen's difficulties and discussed measures for jellyfish damage prevention, relief, and purchase activities. Currently, jellyfish are massively appearing primarily in the eastern maritime areas of Geoje City and the Jaran Bay maritime area of Goseong-gun.
