Gyeongnam Province saw a 10-year high in seafood exports in 2021, reaching $238.72 million, a 25.9% increase from the previous year. The province's top export items, including oysters, pollock, and squid, contributed to this growth. Japan was the largest importer of Gyeongnam's seafood, followed by China and the United States. The province plans to further grow its seafood exports by developing markets, promoting joint marketing, and establishing a fishery food industry base complex.
