The discussions focused on aligning policies with the national development priorities of the Egyptian government, alongside their compatibility with the intervention areas of the United Nations team, the outputs of the United Nations Food Systems Summit +4, and the 2025 Convergence Workshop led by the government. At the programmatic level, the agencies emphasized cooperation through joint geographic planning, unifying implementation and monitoring tools, and leveraging lessons learned from previous initiatives, while exploring new opportunities to enhance integration. The agencies also identified a number of key areas to strengthen partnership, support innovation, mobilize resources jointly, and take advantage of climate finance opportunities, thereby contributing to more integrated and effective cooperation in supporting food security and sustainable development in Egypt.
