Ha Giang, Vietnam: Bac Quang sustainably develops Shan Tuyet tea value chain

As one of the five districts and cities that own the "green gold" of the northernmost land and sky, Bac Quang district (Ha Giang province) has implemented a strategy of sustainable development of the Shan Tuyet tea value chain. Thereby, not only preserving the prestige and reputation of Shan tea but also improving the value and creating sustainable income for tea growers. Organic production of Shan Tuyet tea in Tan Lap commune contributes to the prestige and brand of Shan Tuyet Ha Giang tea. Tea is identified as one of the key crops in the Agricultural restructuring scheme of Bac Quang district. The whole district has nearly 1.5 thousand hectares of Shan Tuyet tea, accounting for 25.9% of the total tea area of the district.
