Bac Quang district in Ha Giang province is implementing a sustainable development strategy for the Shan Tuyet tea value chain, focusing on organic production and preserving the reputation of Shan tea. The district has nearly 1.5 thousand hectares of Shan Tuyet tea, accounting for 25.9% of the total tea area, and is concentrated in 4 communes in the Ha Giang Shan Tuyet Tea Geographical Indication area. The district is encouraging the development of commodity agricultural production and has disbursed funds for intensive tea cultivation. Despite challenges such as grazing in tea gardens and lack of linkage between production, processing facilities, and production households, the district is building a project for sustainable development of the Shan Tuyet tea value chain in three communes.
