Hainan's winter melon, fruit, and vegetable production and sales have seen significant improvement over the past winter and spring, with the output and value reaching the highest in the past three years at over 2.06 million tons and 9.45 billion yuan respectively. Despite weather challenges, the industry has remained stable with an average field price of 4.59 yuan/kg. The Hainan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has supported the sector through monitoring, research, and brand building, and plans to further improve these efforts. The department will also enhance emergency response, build a public welfare sales system, and improve the long-term mechanism for selling agricultural products to ensure the collection and release of production and sales information and provide service guarantees for production and supply.
