In the first half of the hazelnut export season from September 2024 to February 2025, Turkey saw a significant increase in hazelnut exports, with a total of 187,172 tons valued at $1,519,427,000, marking a 12% increase in quantity and a 26% increase in value compared to the previous year. Trabzon was the leading city in these exports, contributing to nearly one-third of the total value. Domestic hazelnut production also saw a 14% increase in quantity and a 29% increase in value. Germany and Italy were the primary recipients of these exports, receiving half of Turkey's total hazelnut production. Exports to the United Arab Emirates experienced the highest growth, with a 92% increase in quantity and a 106% increase in value.
