[Livestock and Fisheries News=Reporters Hong Jeong-min and Park Hyun-ryul] The export of Korean beef, which was previously centered around Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Cambodia and Laos, is expected to expand further recently with the "Halal Korean beef export shipment ceremony" to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the completion of quarantine negotiations for the export of Jeju beef to Singapore. The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), Nonghyup Economic Holdings Livestock Economy, Korean Beef Export Association Council, and Hyongsung KC Corp signed a business agreement in March last year for the export of Korean beef to the Middle East region, and in June, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, aT, Livestock Economy, and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the UAE held a Halal Korean beef launch show at the Abu Dhabi Hilton Hotel to explore export possibilities.
