The 2021 spring peanut crop in Ha Tinh is reported as a success, with favorable weather, yield exceeding plans, and high selling prices. The province, known for its large peanut cultivation, saw an increase in yield to about 2.2 quintals per sao, thanks to October 2020 flooding that increased soil nutrients. Traders are purchasing the peanuts for high prices, and farmers in leading areas like Duc Tho and Huong Khe are experiencing joy from the good harvest. The province expects a total yield of 10,022 hectares, with 70% being the L14 variety, and estimates the average yield to be around 26.58 quintals per hectare, showing an increase from the previous year. The harvest is expected to be completed by June 10, allowing farmers to focus on other crops for the rest of the year.
