Harvest-2024: gross harvest of grain in Ukraine reached 40 million tons

As of October 10, 2024, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine were harvested from a total area of 9.017 million hectares, which is 81% of the planned area (11.116 million hectares). The gross harvest of grain is estimated at 40.161 million tons with an average yield of 44.5 t/ha. This is reported by APC-Inform with reference to operational data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. It is noted that as of October 12, 2023, 35.597 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from 7.738 million hectares (71% of the forecast). The average yield on the specified date was estimated at 46 c/ha. Harvesting of late grain crops is currently underway, in particular: • corn – 10.565 million tons from 1.96 million hectares (48% of the planned) with a yield of 53.8 tons/ha; • buckwheat – 124.3 thousand tons from 85.8 thousand hectares (96%) with a yield of 14 .5 t/ha; • millet – 156.12 thousand tons from 82.9 thousand ha (89%) with a yield of 18.8 t/ha.
