This year, there has been a substantial 35.6% decrease in corn production. The total production harvested by November 20 is 883,730 tons. For comparison, by the same date last year, there were 1,372,942 tons in storage. The reduction in harvested areas is also significant, with 502,209 hectares in 2025, the same as the previous year. The average yield also decreased from 273 kg/ha to 228 kg/ha. For another spring crop, sunflower, the 2025 harvest quantity is 3.4% higher on a yearly basis. There has been a slight increase in harvested areas, from 921,805 hectares to 945,930 hectares, which resulted in production moving from 1,436,697 tons to 1,485,425 tons. The average yield increased by 0.6%. With accelerated sowing rates, by November 20, 2025, the lag in sown areas for wheat, triticale, and barley for the next harvest has shrunk to 16.8%, 12.8%, and 0.9% respectively compared to the previous year.
