Despite the prolonged decline in prices for palm and soybean oil, sunflower oil prices have stabilized as the market anticipates a decrease in sunflower supply in Ukraine and the EU this season, so processors are actively building up stocks, hoping for a resumption of growth in vegetable oil prices in the future. During the week, demand prices for sunflower oil in Ukraine remained at the level of $1220–1230/t (-$30/t for the month) with delivery to ports in December, and prices for shipments to India at the level of $1300-1310/t CIF Mumbai, although palm oil prices fell by 5.5% amid a slowdown in export rates. The weather in Ukraine, especially excessive rains in the west, does not allow for the completion of harvesting late crops, leading to yield losses and a decrease in the quality of harvested sunflower.
