Harvest boosts the identity of black beans

The opening of the black bean harvest marks a new productive cycle and repositions a region in the South of the country as a hub of quality and agricultural identity. According to information from the Brazilian Institute of Beans and Pulses, the harvest of the first 2026 crop began in Prudentópolis, Paraná, in a meeting that brought together public agents, support entities, and representatives of the production chain. The start of the work was presented as a starting point for a strategy aimed at value addition, which goes beyond the volume harvested and prioritizes standard, origin, and production method. The proposal discussed was to organize a path capable of connecting production, quality, history, and consumption, consolidating the municipality as a national reference in black beans with territorial identity.
