The price per kilogram has significantly increased from 2-3 liras last year to 7-10 liras this year. The majority of the production, 75%, is exported, primarily to Russia, with the rest being sent to Europe and Japan, while domestic consumption remains low at 10-15%. Mehmet Akın Doğan, the President of the Yuregir Chamber of Agriculture, is working to promote the consumption of grapefruit domestically due to its nutritional benefits.
