A campaign initiated in November 2024 by the Ministry of Agriculture's General Authority for Veterinary Services has successfully vaccinated 1,343,235 heads of cattle against foot-and-mouth disease and 1,229,235 animals against Rift Valley fever. The campaign aims to achieve its goals and monitor the health status of animals, while also increasing breeder awareness about these diseases and how to prevent them. This initiative is part of the ministry's plan to preserve livestock immunity against epidemic diseases, with a focus on improving livestock health and productivity. The campaign will continue until all governates complete the vaccination and awareness campaigns.
