The climate forecast for the January to March 2026 quarter indicates a scenario of above-average heat and irregular rainfall in part of the country, with potential impact on crops such as second-season corn and irrigated rice. The analysis was released by Meteored Brasil based on a seasonal forecast technical note prepared in cooperation between the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Studies of the National Institute for Space Research (CPTEC/INPE), the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) and the Ceará Foundation for Meteorology and Water Resources (Funceme).
