The National Ports and Navigation Agency, chaired by Iñaki Miguel Arreseygor, has called for a public hearing on November 3 – as stipulated by articles 19, 20, and 21 of the National Environmental Policy Law No. 25,675 – to consider the “Management and Environmental Evaluation Report of the Main Navigation Route” for the concession regime of the dredging and signaling works of the Paraná River Hydroway. Environmental management is one of the aspects that must be considered in the bidding process for the dredging and signaling services of the Hydroway, which should be implemented between the end of this year or the beginning of the next. The environmental report highlights that new water and/or sediment sampling stations have been incorporated into the program of annual monitoring campaigns of the environmental matrices of the Paraná River.
