Brazil's Foreign Trade Secretariat reported a significant increase in fresh, frozen pork meat exports in December 2023, with revenue surging by 32.12% to US$ 236,441,649, up from December 2021, and volume increasing by 15.7% to 92,540.191 tons compared to the same period. The monthly total for pork exports in December was 49.2% higher than November, driven by a substantial increase in demand from China due to a pork price surge in the country. The daily average invoicing also saw a 38.1% increase compared to December 2021, although there was a slight decrease from the previous week. The price per ton of pork meat exported in December was 14.2% higher than the previous year.
