Farmers in Narsingdi are experiencing high levels of satisfaction due to the excellent production and lucrative prices of summer vegetables in the local markets. Over the past few weeks, they have been busy harvesting and transporting the vegetables, with some varieties already available in local markets. A total of 68,200 hectares of land in six upazilas of the district has been dedicated to summer vegetable cultivation. This has provided financial stability for many poor farmers, with the district supplying 30 to 40 percent of its total production to the capital and other districts.
