Cambodia and China have reached a significant milestone in their agricultural cooperation, with the signing of three protocols to facilitate the export of farm crocodiles, edible bird's nests, and fresh durians to China. This development is expected to boost the global reach of Cambodia's agricultural products, particularly bird's nests, which are in high demand in China. The country's Prime Minister has directed relevant departments to expedite the export process and improve green channel openness for agricultural products. In 2024, Cambodia exported over 12 million tons of crops to 95 countries, generating revenue of around US$5.3 billion, with agriculture contributing 16.7% to the country's GDP.
