The Hongcheon Sweet Corn Festival will be held from the 25th to the 27th at the Hongcheon-eup Comprehensive Sports Ground parking lot.
In its 29th year, the sweet corn festival offers top-grade sweet corn, certified as Agricultural Product Geographical Indication No. 15, at affordable prices (white corn at 800 won per ear, black corn at 900 won per ear).
Four local agricultural cooperatives and local small business owners will operate diverse agricultural product and food booths.
The festival will be enriched by the third Hongcheon River Starlight National Song Contest preliminaries and the National Youth Comprehensive Arts Festival.
Additionally, an 'Oksugi Boarding Platform' event will deliver purchased corn to vehicles, and free shuttle buses will circulate to the city center nine times daily.
Two days after the Sweet Corn Festival, on the 30th, the Hongcheon River Starlight Beer Festival will be held along the roadside in front of Kkotmoe Park in Hongcheon-eup.
Starting with a spectacular eve festival, it will be fully held from the 31st to August 3rd at the Tori Forest along the Hongcheon River near Kkotmoe Performance Venue.
During the eve festival, purchasing a 'Starlight LED Beer Cup' - an environmentally-friendly reusable container - allows unlimited beer consumption on that day.
During the beer festival, visitors can enjoy beer while watching DJ performances, food trucks, and a water zone.
Differentiated experience programs such as drone light shows, paddle boarding, moonboat experiences, and beer factory tours are also prepared.
