The European Commission proposes a reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) after 2027, which raises a number of questions. One of them is how much funding each member state will need to supplement from its Single Fund to maintain farmers' incomes at the 2027 level. For Bulgaria, these amount to 6.2 billion euros and are intended for direct area payments and coupled support for production. Additionally, the country can supplement funds for farmers through the Single Fund (the so-called National and Regional Partnership Plan), whose total amount is 19.5 billion euros. However, these funds can be directed towards various policies – convergence, agriculture, fisheries, social sphere, defense, and others.
