The full session of the Congress of Deputies will debate whether to create a subcommittee on animal health to analyze the situation of the veterinary sector and propose solutions to the challenges it faces. The initiative to send it to the full session was voted on this Tuesday in the Health Committee of the Lower House, at the proposal of the Republican parliamentary group, which sees it as necessary given that the veterinary sector "plays an essential role in public health, animal welfare, and food safety."
