How to increase the popularity of currants and gooseberries in Moldova?

According to expert estimates, currants and gooseberries in the ranking of Moldovan berries in terms of total plantation area (approximately 80-100 hectares and 50-60 hectares, respectively) occupy the fifth and sixth positions, slightly inferior to blackberries and surpassing sea buckthorn, as well as chokeberry. However, eight or ten years ago, there were many times more plantings of currants in Moldova, gooseberries - by tens of percent. Another five or seven years ago, the country exported up to 65 tons of fresh currants and 15 tons of gooseberries. Why have these berries traditional for the country lost popularity in the domestic and foreign markets, is it possible to reverse the negative trend?
