With the objective of reducing the effects of water scarcity, frost, and low temperatures on alpaca production, the Regional Directorate of South American Camelids of Huancavelica reported that it will deliver irrigation kits to 1981 productive units located in 15 districts of the Huancavelica province. The announcement was made during an informative technical meeting with the productive representatives benefiting from the Irrigation Improvement Project, which is being executed in said province. The meeting brought together authorities and representatives of 68 peasant communities producing alpaca from 15 districts, with the aim of coordinating the start of the delivery of the irrigation kits, verifying the list of beneficiaries, and detailing the proper use of the equipment, in order to maximize their impact in the field.
