Huánuco. The III Regional Banana and Plantain Festival established itself as a key showcase to promote the legitimate and sustainable economy of the Alto Huallaga. From September 12 to 14, hundreds of visitors enjoyed the varied local production and gastronomy: from chapos, chifles, and tacachos to a cup of hot chocolate made with 100% cacao. This activity, promoted by the Technical Table of Banana and Plantain, presented itself as an engine of sustainable development and access to new markets. The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida), through its Zonal Office in Tingo María, accompanied the inauguration and renewed its support for farming families that bet on legal and sustainable crops.
