The Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers’ Association (ICMSA) has welcomed the resumption of Irish beef exports to China, but says the market reopening is only half done. The ICMSA president, Pat McCormack, has called on the government to ensure that farmers will benefit from the situation, by providing them with better prices for their beef. The minister of agriculture, food and the marine, Charlie McConalogue, has announced the resumption of beef exports under the same conditions as before the 2020 suspension.
