(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Im Sung-ho = Hyundai Wian announced on the 10th that it has launched 'Dodam Sand', a sandwich cookie made from agricultural products in the Gyeongnam region. Dodam Sand was created based on 300 million won contributed by Hyundai Wian to the Agricultural and Rural Community Coexistence Fund. For about a year since last year, Hyundai Wian has collaborated with the Gyeongnam Provincial Government, local farmers, and the people of Gyeongnam in planning, selecting ingredients, finalizing, and marketing Dodam Sand. Hyundai Wian explained that the taste reflects 'the four seasons of Gyeongnam'. It allows one to experience four different flavors: mountain strawberries grown in Gimhae, blackberries from Sancheong, mandarins from Changwon, and yuzu from Namhae. Dodam Sand can be purchased starting today through Naver Happy Bean Funding, the largest public interest platform in the country. Plans are in place to expand sales channels by opening pop-up stores at Changwon Central Station, Jinhae Naval Base Festival, and entering open markets. All proceeds from the sales of Dodam Sand will be donated to Hyundai Wian and the Gyeongnam Provincial Government for the 'Green Forest Creation' project. Hyundai Wian stated, "We will develop Dodam Sand as a representative local specialty of Gyeongnam and contribute to sustainable local communities."
