A webinar by KMPV UBUR, FKH Unair, highlighted the benefits of Artificial Insemination (IB) in poultry breeding. Dr. Tatik Hernawati from Unair's Department of Veterinary Reproduction stressed that IB can efficiently use less male birds for selective breeding, leading to genetically superior offspring. It also enables crossbreeding of species that are naturally infertile, producing uniform offspring quickly. Other advantages include disease transmission prevention, fertility issues solution, longer sperm storage, and cost-effective male maintenance.
