ICARUS: meat production will grow by 1.4% in 2025

According to the Institute of Agricultural Market Trends (IKAR), in 2025, meat production in Russia in farms of all categories will grow by 1.2-1.4% compared to 2024. This will occur due to poultry and pork meat – plus 2.7% and 1% respectively (in agricultural organizations). At the same time, beef production will decrease by 4%. Also, according to analysts, in 2025, meat and by-products exports (excluding finished products and semi-finished products) may exceed 930 thousand tons against 799 thousand tons a year earlier. Thus, supplies abroad will grow by 16.4%. Including poultry product shipments will increase by 5-10%, to more than 430 thousand tons, with China accounting for 37-40% of all shipments. According to the federal center "Agroexport", in the first 11 months of 2025, Russia supplied more than 405 thousand tons of poultry meat to foreign markets, which is 11% more than in 2024.
