Zowasel, a agricultural technology company, has partnered with IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative, to improve the sorghum value chain in Nigeria. The collaboration aims to make the value chain more sustainable through regenerative agriculture, which will be supported by Zowasel's technology and a co-investment of 30% from both organizations. The initiative will provide technical assistance, risk assessment, credit measurement, and transparent reporting to smallholder farmers, with a focus on women. The partnership also seeks to bridge the gap between smallholder farmers and financial institutions, and will provide advisory content and training in native Nigerian languages through Zowasel’s Farmer Call Centre.
