Iksan city in North Jeolla Province, South Korea, has announced the export of its 'Topmaru Watermelon' to Hong Kong, with a shipment of 30 tons scheduled by August. The watermelons, which have a sugar content of 11 Brix or higher, are produced in facilities in Mangseong and Yongan-myeon. The city also anticipates the watermelon to be exported to Japan from the next month. Additionally, pears and melons are expected to be exported soon.
