Russia: Illegal trade in salmon and sturgeon fish has been stopped in Moscow, 2 tons of red caviar have been seized

Over 2 tons of red caviar, along with illegal products from endangered sturgeon species and 100 kilograms of crab, have been confiscated in an operation, as part of a crackdown on illegal fishing activities in Russia. Since the start of the year, the operation has led to the identification of over 85,000 violations, with more than 2,500 leading to criminal cases. The operation has also resulted in the seizure of nearly 138,000 fishing gear and over 172 tons of illegally obtained aquatic bioresources.
