Imports of fresh oranges into the EU reached 543,000 tonnes in May 2024

In May 2024, the European Union imported 543,000 tonnes of fresh oranges, with Egypt being the primary supplier, accounting for 449,000 tonnes or 84% of the total imports. Morocco made up the remaining 1.5% with only 2.5 tonnes. The majority of the EU's monthly orange imports, which totaled 82,490 tonnes, also came from Egypt, contributing 81,215 tonnes.
