Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has reported a 25.77% increase in the country's imports of dates for Ramadan in February 2024, reaching US$ 17.18 million, up from January 2024. The majority of these imports were sourced from Tunisia, Egypt, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, with Tunisia being the largest exporter. The BPS also confirmed that there were no imports from Israel, adhering to the Indonesian Ulema Council's call for a boycott of Israeli products in support of Palestine.
