Dong Thap province in Vietnam has seen a steady growth in agricultural production at an average rate of 3.38% annually, with efforts towards restructuring and adding value to agricultural products. The province is focusing on developing high-value models in agriculture and encouraging the use of technology. The Pangasius industry is also being developed towards intensive farming and meeting export standards. The province aims for an economic growth of 7.5% per year from 2021-2025, with a target of VND 22,672 billion added value from the agriculture-forestry-fishery sector by 2025. The province also plans to develop tourism and logistics systems, with a goal of 187,500 billion in total retail sales by 2025.
