Russia is projected to see a rise in vegetable production to 16 million tons this year, owing to the dynamic growth of greenhouse cultivation, says the Ministry of Agriculture. Despite this, the country's domestic consumption is estimated to be 17 million tons. The country remains reliant on imports, with Turkey having recently withdrawn from the market due to a quota of 350 thousand tons, leaving only 300 thousand tons imported. The volume of cucumber imports was 55 thousand tons.
