Kazakhstan has increased the area under oilseeds for the 2024 harvest, according to the Bureau of National Statistics. The total area sown with oilseeds is 2.93 million hectares, an increase from 2.79 million hectares last year. The area under sunflower and oil flax has increased significantly, along with rapeseed. Soybeans were sown at approximately the same level as last year, while the area of safflower has decreased.
