Ukraine's shellfish exports have seen a significant increase in 2023, with a 81.9% rise in volume and over a doubling in value compared to the same period last year. Lithuania, Spain, and Poland were the main buyers of Ukrainian shellfish. On the other hand, Ukraine's shellfish imports also surged, with a 2.2 times increase in volume and a doubled expenditure compared to the previous year, with Peru, China, and France as the major suppliers. Additionally, Ukraine has registered 49 export capacities for chilled snails and their products.
