In a week, prices for pears in Ukraine decreased by 25%

This week, wholesale prices of pears from local farms recorded a decrease in the wholesale markets of Ukraine. This is reported by EastFruit analysts. It is noted that the reason for this price situation, according to market participants, is the seasonal increase in the supply of these products on the market, while the demand of wholesale companies for these fruits remains inactive. Thus, as of September 11, pears from local farms on the Ukrainian market are offered for sale in large wholesale for UAH 15-30/kg ($0.36-0.73/kg), which is on average 25% cheaper than a week earlier. According to the results of regular monitoring, the prices of pears in the current season continue to gradually decrease, starting from the middle of August of this year, which is a consequence of the supply of products on the market, which is constantly increasing.
