The Tambov Region in Russia saw a significant increase in agricultural production in 2024. Dairy production rose by 7.2% to 96.6 thousand tons, with the average milk yield per cow also increasing by 2.9% to 8,322 kg. Livestock and poultry production for slaughter grew by 4.5% to 629.7 thousand tons, comprising of 389.1 thousand tons of poultry, 237.1 thousand tons of pigs, and 3.5 thousand tons of cattle. As of January 1, 2025, the region reported a significant increase in the number of poultry and pigs, with counts of 17.0 million and 1,010.9 thousand respectively.
