In Central Asia, an eco-program for the management of water and land resources will be launched.

Central Asian countries are planning to implement a joint environmental program aimed at the sustainable management of water and land resources. This was reported by the press service of the Trade Representation of Russia in Uzbekistan. "Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan have agreed to implement the regional program Central Asia Water and Land Nexus (CAWLN), aimed at the sustainable management of water and land resources," the statement reads. It is noted that the official presentation of the program will take place within the framework of the Global Environment Facility Assembly, which will be held in Samarkand from May 30 to June 6, 2026.
