In February 2023, Vietnam saw a significant increase in cashew nut exports, with a volume of 34.3 thousand tons and a value of 197.7 million USD, a 25.8% increase in volume and 26.9% increase in value compared to the previous month. Despite this, the first two months of 2023 saw a slight decrease in export volume and value compared to the same period in 2022. The average export price in February was USD 5,766 per ton, up slightly from the previous month but down slightly from February 2022. The United States and Germany were the only markets that did not see a significant increase in cashew nut exports in February 2023, while exports to China and the United Arab Emirates increased significantly. The Vietnam cashew industry remains the global leader, contributing to about 80% of the world's cashew trade, despite a slight decrease in overall exports in 2022. The industry is diversifying its product offerings and continues to meet international quality standards, resulting in large contracts from the export market.
