In January-August 2023, raw milk production in Ukraine decreased by 6%

Crude production in Ukraine has decreased over the last eight months of 2023 due to the effects of intense summer heat. Preliminary data from the State Statistics Service were commented on by the Association of Milk Producers, ProAgro Group reports. In January-August 2023, farms of all categories produced about 5,035.1 thousand tons of raw milk, which is 6% less compared to last year. In August 2023, the volume of milk in Ukraine amounted to 693 thousand tons, which is 9% less than in August 2022 and 8% less compared to July of the current year. During the analyzed period, the share of enterprises in the production of raw milk was 38%, and households - 62%. Enterprises increased milk production to 1 million 888.7 thousand tons (+7%) in January-August 2023.
