In March, Ukraine increased production of milk and beef

Reduction of the general indicators of milk and beef production on the market in January-March of the current year is the result of the consequences of the full-scale invasion of Russia. However, industrial enterprises continue to effectively adapt to work in the conditions of martial law - according to the results of the first quarter, it was industrial farms that even increased the volume of milking and slaughter, while the share of raw materials from households continues to decrease, - reports the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers Giorgiy Kukhaleishvili. According to preliminary data from the State Statistics Service, in January-March 2023, farms of all categories produced about 1 million 499 thousand tons of raw milk, which is 6% less compared to last year.
