According to him, an additional risk factor for increased moisture is the use of hybrids with high FAO, which vegetate longer and "release" moisture more slowly in the autumn. "When the autumn is rainy or the field is located further north than the 'comfortable' zone for this FAO, the corn enters the bunker with higher moisture. If you have to remove up to 10% of excess moisture from a ton, the cost of production rises sharply.
