In October 2023, exports of Uzbek melon decreased sharply

In October of this year, the volume of melon exports from Uzbekistan was 1.8 times less compared to the same period last year. One of the main factors for such a decline in exports is the sharp increase in prices for these products on the country’s domestic market in October of this year, according to EastFruit analysts. According to preliminary trade statistics, in October of this year, Uzbekistan exported 2 thousand tons of fresh melon, while in the same period last year, the volume of exports of Uzbek fresh melon amounted to 3.7 thousand tons.
