According to the results of October, consumer prices in Ukraine increased by 0.9% compared to the previous month. This data was released by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, reports APK-Inform.
It should be noted that in September of this year, inflation in Ukraine was recorded at 0.3%.
Moreover, food products became significantly more expensive in the reported month – by 1.7%. Among the food categories, the prices of eggs increased the most last month – by 11.0%, and vegetables – by 10.4%. In addition, bread increased by 1.3% and sunflower oil – by 1.6%.
Also, at the end of the month, prices for livestock products increased: meat and meat products rose by 1%, milk – by 3.8%, cheeses and soft cheeses – by 1%, and butter – by 1.3%.
At the same time, in October, pasta became cheaper by 0.2%, sugar – by 2.6%, and fruits – also by 2.6%.
Overall, according to the results of the first ten months of this year, consumer prices in Ukraine increased by 7.3%, while food prices increased by 8.8%.
