In October, Ukraine produced 11.5% less lard

In January-October 2021, the production of lard and other rendered lard in Ukraine decreased by 2.6% compared to the same period last year - to 7.2 thousand tons. This is evidenced by data from the State Statistics Service. In particular, in October this year, the production of lard and other lard was at the level of 691 tons - 11.5% less than in the same period of 2020. We will remind, since September, the average price of kilogram of salted fat increased by 40 UAH and reached a record indicator for the last some years in 185 UAH / kg. A significant rise in the price of salted lard occurred in October, when the price increased by UAH 20 / kg or 13%. From October to November, the price increased by another 20 UAH / kg or 11%. The cost of lard is also growing: at the beginning of November the average price was 134.6 UAH / kg, which is 1 UAH cheaper than in October, but 28 UAH more expensive than at the beginning of 2021.
